Who are we?

RiskTec is a Dutch company that is specialized in managing currency exposure and investing in currency markets. We analyze developed and emerging market currencies with the goal to assist clients in effectively managing their currency risk or to investment in currencies. RiskTec was founded in the year 2000 as a spin-off of a currency overlay project within a big Dutch corporate pension fund. Currently, RiskTec manages two currency investment programs and advises clients on currency strategies and tactics. Performance

The numbers reflect the performance as of the end of February 2010. RiskTec currency beta program (inception: January 2010) March 2010: -0.15% YTD 2010: +0.03% These results are net reults in excess of any interest income and unlevered. RiskTec DMU program (inception: November 2006) March 2010: +2.10% YTD 2010: -0.78% Since inception: 4.61% (average annual return) These results include interest income and are unlevered.

Currency investment programs

RiskTec offers two currency investment programs: Beta and DMU. RiskTec Beta RiskTec Beta invests in the common currency investment styles (carry, value, and trend) by replicating style strategies. It offers investors easy and cheap access to the main value drivers of currency investments. RiskTec Beta started in January 2010. RiskTec DMU RiskTec Developed Markets Universe (DMU) aims to outperform the RiskTec Beta strategy using models to indicate switching moments between styles, improve trend indication, and to control for time-varying risk (among others). RiskTec DMU started in November 2006.

Currency management

\n

RiskTec assists clients in developing and managing their strategic and tactical currency hedging policy. RiskTec assists clients in developing a currency hedging policy by formulating a hedging strategy based on the risk appetite of a client, costs of hedging, and correlation patterns between currency movements and returns on the underlying investments. RiskTec assists clients to manage both strategic and tactical currency hedging policies by offering passive and active currency overlay programs.
